President of Cruise Travel Outlet Says the Agency Has Started Accepting Bitcoin as Payment
Bill Walsh, President of Cruise Travel Outlet, one of the largest cruise retailers in America, has announced that the agency now accepts digital asset payments as payment for a cruise or land vacation. Cruise Travel Outlet will accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, DASH and EOS.
“With the increased popularity of investments in digital currency, we felt it was time to be one of the first travel agencies in the industry to accept it.” Bill Walsh, President of Cruise Travel Outlet said. “You can now pay for your cruise or land vacation in digital currency and it’s a very simple process.”
For those unfamiliar, Bitcoin is a digital currency that runs on a decentralized network and was first used in 2009. Since then, Bitcoin has been growing in popularity and usage. Bitcoin is also commonly abbreviated as “BTC.”
“It’s incredible how simple the purchase is.” Walsh explained. “I really believe in Bitcoin’s technology and thought our adoption of it was inevitable.”
In late March the electric car company Tesla started accepting Bitcoin as payment for their cars. And earlier this month it was announced that Caruso, a major real estate developer in Los Angeles, will be accepting Bitcoin as payment for rent.
Cruise Travel Outlet will be joining a growing list of corporations taking an interest in and increasing the mainstream acceptance of digital currency.
